I've always had a passion for fitness and enjoy sharing that with others. It is extremely rewarding to be able to make a difference in people's lives by helping them to live healthier and longer. Personal training is not just about bigger muscles and Barbie/Ken bodies hanging out at the gym but helping people to avoid heart disease and diabetes, to relieve the symptoms of fibromyalgia and arthritis, to lower blood pressure and cholesterol, and to rid of many other ailments that plague our bodies. Recently, I have been able to enjoy working with seniors and helping them maintain flexibility, range of motion, and most importantly, balance. Those are the most rewarding benefits of my profession, and I feel blessed to have the ability to do them every day.
I have been in the fitness industry in some form or another for over 20 years. From my living room floor working out with Jane Fonda to fitness guru, Richard Simmons, Billy Blanks, Tae Bo, and most recently, Zumba. I have tried it all. I became a personal trainer 7 years ago in order to help to make a difference in people's lives and to share my passion for movement. It is with this passion that I have opened my own fitness studio in West Bay, Traverse City, Michigan. Appropriately titled, "Bodies In Motion", this studio will give me the chance to grow in other directions and to explore more areas of my profession.
